Cooking Directions:

Carefully wash and clean the asparagus without breaking the tips.

Steam the asparagus for about 4 to 6 minutes depending on how thick your spears are. Test them for tenderness with a fork.

Remove form the heat and let cool down for a few minutes then carefully transfer them to a serving plate.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste and drizzle with abundant lemon juice. Add some extra virgin olive oil if desired.


Tips:

Steamed asparagus go very well with hard boiled eggs. Just add some crumbled hard boiled eggs in the serving plate before serving for a yummy variation to this simple dish.
